What’s that? Your mama never taught you about garter belts? Neither did mine, darlin’. Some things we’ve got to pick up for ourselves. This guide will tell you everything you didn’t know to ask about what to wear to your boudoir photo shoot. I have so much information for you on lingerie that I had to write a two part series. Cami Sets & Rompers
Want to cover a little more skin but still feel smokin’ hot? Cami sets, short sets, and rompers are your answer. Choose something silky, satiny, or lacy, preferably in a solid color so that the focus remains on you, not on a distracting pattern or print. If you do choose a print, keep it simple like the one pictured above from Victoria’s Secret.
Garters & Stockings
Let’s talk garters. In my mind, garters are the quintessential sexy lingerie item. They look hot on all shapes and sizes and really elevate a simple bra and panty combo. But they are tricky to put on if you’ve never worn them before. The most important thing to remember is that you must buy the correct type of stocking to wear with your garters. Thigh high stockings come with rubber strips inside at the top to hold your stocking up without garters. The rubber sort of sticks to your skin and squeezes your leg, giving your leg a muffin top and leaving red marks behind. This doesn’t look flattering on anyone and WILL NOT work with garters! Make sure you buy the kind of stocking without the rubber. The garter belts and stockings above came from H&M. You can also find garters attached to a corset, bustier, or slip. And don’t worry about not being able to get them on before the shoot. Remember, if you run into trouble, I’m your girl.
Shoes
If you don’t have any already, you need a pair of stilettos in your life, honey. Do you NEED shoes for the shoot? No, of course not. Bare feet are incredibly sexy. But if you are a shoe lover or have never owned a super high heel before, it would make an awesome addition to your shoot. Ami Clubwear

The Push Up Bra
You might have guessed from the photo above that I am not a fan of the push up bra. I know you’re going to be tempted to buy one. We all are! I mean, these models are rockin’ them, aren’t they? Look at those perfectly round breasts! But here’s why I want you to resist temptation. We are going to take quite a few shots of you lying down. If you are small chested, the moment you recline, your breasts are no longer going to fill that cup and it is going to be obvious. If you are large chested, your breasts are going to be pushed toward your head and your neck is going to disappear. We like your neck. It’s pretty. The shot won’t be the same without it. But you are only going to stand upright in that particular bra, you say? Still no. These bras rarely flatter a woman’s figure. Your breasts are perfect the way they are because they are your breasts and we want to show them off in all their natural beauty. If you’ve got your heart set on a push up bra, though, talk to us and we will make it work.
The Bralette
YES YES, YES YES YES! If you are small to medium chested, this is the one that you want. Forget about those silly push up bras and find yourself a beautiful bralette. You will be amazed at the selection Blue Boutique
has. Visit one of their stores and try a few on. They are feminine and flirty and often come in sets with matching panties.
Better Bras
If you are medium to large chested, you’re going to need more support. Underwire bras are great for that. Blue Boutique

Undies
This is all you, honey. What do you feel sexiest in? That’s what you choose.
What Not To Buy
Are you hyperventilating yet? Sit down, darlin’, and take a deep breath. I’ve thrown a lot of information at you but I’m here for you! Call me if you need to talk about all this or if you need a shopping buddy. And remember, you don’t need to go out and blow your grocery budget on corsets. Only go shopping if you’re excited about it! Otherwise, I’m pretty sure you’ve already got some things that will work great. And as long as you bring your own undies, I probably have some things I can lend you. Feel better? Good. Now let’s do this!
