Chelsea's Boudoir Experience

An Angel in Lingerie

Chelsea is one of those people who doesn’t just listen to what you’re saying, she listens to what you really mean. She’s got those eyes that look right past the surface and bore into your heart with sympathy and compassion. Can you tell I just adore her?! Well, anyway, she told us that she NEVER likes pictures of herself- even professional ones, but she absolutely LOVED these. How could she not, though? I mean, come on! She looks STUNNING!! I asked her to talk about her experience at her shoot, so here you go- some of my favs from her shoot and Chelsea's story...
"Right now I feel the need more than ever to have something to draw positivity and self affirmation/affection from. I know a lot of us are struggling with the lack of connection and our tried and true ways to “fill our buckets”, so my gratitude for the experience I had with Pamela and Mat is priceless.
Just thinking back on that day brings a great swelling in my chest and a smile uncontrollably pinching my cheeks. From the moment I was greeted by Pamela’s warm and lovely smile, my nerves and self doubt rapidly took a backseat. Pamela put me at ease while she led me upstairs through her stunning gallery of previous clients. I was greeted with a personalized sign of welcoming, an enticing display of delicious treats and a friendly, vivacious makeup and hair artist ready to pamper.
EJ sat me down and worked her magic with two adorable vintage suitcases filled to the brim with a variety of colorfully inviting makeup and hair toys. Feeling unusually gorgeous and transformed, Pamela and I then sorted though all the lacy, silky, delicate, exciting lingerie with Mateusz. In my previous anxiety over the shoot, I was unsure of opening myself up to such vulnerability in front of an unknown man. That changed as soon as I met Mat. He has such a kind face and easygoing manner, I couldn’t help but feel comfortable (excluding the prolific “arch your back more” and “now a little bit more”).
I love attention, but not the sole attention of more than one person at a time. Normally, I would’ve been very stiff and awkward having both Pamela and Mat staring at me so attentively, nearly nude, and nowhere to hide in unnatural (for me) poses and facial expressions, but Mat’s humor and Pamela’s encouraging compliments had me not only feeling comfortable draped over every bed couch and wall, but hella confident and stunningly beautiful! I have never experienced such a deep and profound sense of my beauty, and my powerful body that I am so grateful and lucky to possess.
About two weeks later, Pamela brought me back into her delightful studio for my reveal. Admittedly, I still had my doubts about the finished product. I wasn’t doubtful of Mateusz’s talent, but I was doubtful of myself. I have never liked myself in pictures and resolved to just accept that I was “not photogenic”.
So, with little expectation I sat down next to Pamela while she displayed one jaw-dropping image after another, after another of this gorgeous woman i could hardly believe was me. It brings me to tears thinking about how wonderful and welcome it was to see myself that way.
This session with Pamela and Mateusz was an experience that I will cherish for all my days, but my favorite part about it is the pictures I have to transport me back in time to relive that moment, that confidence, that power, and that appreciation anytime I want or need. Thank you Pamela! Thank you Mateusz! Thank you EJ! I hope you all know what a positive and enlivening service you provide. You are forever in my heart."

Let’s be real—boudoir photography is intimate. Trusting someone to capture your most vulnerable and empowered self can feel daunting. And when you find out that the photographer is a man? For some, that might raise a few eyebrows. But here’s the truth: hiring a male photographer for your boudoir session can be an incredible experience—one that leaves you feeling empowered, beautiful, and totally comfortable. Let’s explore why working with a male boudoir photographer can be a game-changer—and bust a few myths along the way.

I am a researcher by nature. I gather information, mull it over, think about all the scenarios and possible outcomes before making a decision. In some way, this gave me a sense of control in my life. I could predict how things would go, and if they fell into another scenario, well, I had already thought about that and could figure it out when that moment came.

Boudoir photography has long been celebrated as a powerful way for individuals to embrace their sensuality, self-confidence, and beauty. While it’s often associated with women looking to create intimate gifts or celebrate milestones, boudoir photography is for everyone. For those with disabilities, participating in a boudoir shoot can offer even more profound, life-changing benefits. It can become an empowering act of self-love, a way to celebrate your body, and an opportunity to reclaim your sense of agency and confidence. If you’re living with a disability, whether visible or invisible, a boudoir photo shoot can help you see yourself in a new light and appreciate your body in ways you may not have considered before. Below are some of the many benefits of doing a boudoir photo shoot with a disability.
