My name is EJ...

and I am a hair and makeup artist for Silk + Salt photography. I have been living in Utah for a few years, I moved here on my own from Arizona. I met a super cute boy named Mike and we got married and have three wonderful fur children! Being far away from my parents and siblings is never easy, but Mike makes everywhere we go feel like home. Mike has always encouraged me to be my authentic self, which has led me to do things such as get education to do professional hair and makeup, wear weird clothes, and fall in love with myself. Connecting with and working alongside of Mateusz and Pamela has been an absolute dream. I feel incredibly lucky that Silk + Salt has allowed me an opportunity to love my job as a hair and makeup artist, and meet such miraculous people! Mat has an unparalleled ability to make every person who walks into the studio feel like they can walk out and rule the world. Each session I’ve been a part of has shown grace and professionalism mixed with creativity and care. Admittedly, when it came my turn to be the subject of a shoot, I was nervous. I spent the whole night before convincing myself that Mat’s magic wasn’t going to be enough to show me how beautiful I am. Needless to say, I was completely wrong. I, like all other subjects, was able to leave the studio believing I was able to rule the world. I take pride in playing a role in the magic that Pamela and Mateusz have created and look forward to helping people see what the rest of us see: gods and goddesses. I am so excited to continue this work and look forward to all the magnificent people I will continue to meet!
