Ms. K | Salt Lake Boudoir
Your body is a beautiful story.
Repeat this as your new mantra.
It does not mean you have to love every part of yourself, all the time.
It does not mean you can’t be hurt by pieces of the story that creates you.

It does mean that you are a unique work of art, wholly imperfect, a vessel for your memories and secrets and experiences.
Boudoir can be a part of that story, one that tells you that you are not something to be fixed, but something to be embraced.
Your worth is intrinsic. Your body has carried you to where you are. Every scar a tale of pain and adventure. Every bump a biography of bravery. Each attempt at coping, at endurance, at survival, is written in the lines of your skin.
Your joy is there. Your deepest sorrows. Your triumphs and disappointments. Your natural wonder is simply a fact, an awesome, ordinary miracle.
Approach
your body with curiosity and reverence. Approach all stories the same way. Diversity of bodies and diversity of stories are incredible in every way. We, humanity, are a walking gallery of every kind of art. The best photography can catch the essence of that. Your boudoir experience may capture soft and sensual in one moment, strong and self-assured in another. And they are each a part of that story that makes you.
Boudoir can act as memoir. It is a tangible embodiment of your embrace of your self-worth.
We are our own mythos. The lore we share matters. The stories we show make a difference. We are each unique, and yet universal. When we capture the things we love in our bodies and our stories, or capture the things we are trying to accept, we make others feel less alone. Yes, it is personal. But it also communal.
When we tell our stories, through boudoir or any other form of narrative, we have the unique experience of having something that is intimate, yet collective. It is a shared experience, private, but exhibited. There are few things as vulnerable as your body. Exposing it can feel like you are being made bare in every sense of the word.
But that uncovered, unconcealed disclosure of self is also your story laid bare. Shame and silence have a hard time surviving in the sunlight. Security comes from knowing you are not alone. It comes from exiting your comfort zone and unapologetically getting comfortable with the discomfort.
Boudoir is art. Your story is art. You are art.
You were made to be visible. You have nothing to hide. You are truth made manifest, value on view.
You deserve to be seen in the fullness of who you are. You deserve to tell your story.
You are worthy.
You are worth.
