Maybe saying that if you can do a boudoir shoot, you can do anything is a bit of an overstatement. But really – a boudoir session is out of most people’s comfort zone, and making the decision to take that step is a fantastic way to push your limits and challenge yourself. And who knows what will happen when you break that one inhibition? It could carry over into your normal life and change everything.

You are an average woman with an average job and average kids and an average relationship? HELL NO YOU AREN’T. You are a goddess that does boudoir modeling! You are spectacular and ravishing and magnificent! Nothing about you is average. You are ideal.
We are creatures of habit. But we can make decisions to be more than that. Your unhealed wounds color your perceptions, and we must challenge them and do new things as a catalyst for change. Surprise yourself. Boudoir session may be intimidating, but fear is where the growth happens. You are perfectly imperfect, and your body doesn’t have to change to change the way you look at it. This new experience is therapeutic. Don’t let complacency limit what you do. You empower yourself through this experience. If we want inclusive beauty, we must BE inclusive beauty. Embody it. YOU are beauty. That yummy soft belly, those stretch marks that map you like the magical journey you are, the freckles and moles that decorate you like a goddamn work of art. YOU are the model of perfection.
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Build up a tolerance. Sometimes, you have to step outside your comfort zone to get more comfortable in your own skin. Imagine having a set of photos where, every single time you look at them, you remember that you conquered your fear. You challenged your ideas about yourself. You explored new parts of who you are. You can walk away from this experience more in love with yourself than ever before, and that opens up exciting doors to doing things you never thought possible. Find out what waits for you on the other side of your fear. You aren’t someone stuck in a rut. You are someone who takes chances. You deserve to feel good about yourself
Talk yourself into it. When you see sample boudoir photos, it is so easy to see how stunning every single person is. There are so many variations of shape and size and color, and they are all amazing. It is time to see yourself through that same lens. The truth of who you are is incredible.
You are awkward and majestic and goofy and sexy and ridiculous and sensual. Be comfortable with that, and your comfort zone doesn’t stand a chance. It becomes a beautiful life.
